About Cafe Inc.

Here at Cafe Inc. it has been my goal to create a system where you can see just what it is that’s in our food. All to often we enter eateries and see a little (gf) in minute size cramped into the bottom left corner, almost like it was an after thought. If we are really lucky we might see it accompanied with a (df) or low and behold even an (ef).

All this aside, Cafe Inc. is a cafe that will cater for all needs, whether you have allergies, are on a specific diet or just want real food, with real flavour. This is the place for you. Not to mention serving our awesome coffee with a range of milks and a selection of smoothies and juices, everyone will be spoiled for choice.

#### Hash Tag #####

In this day and age we all know and love a good hash tag. The purpose of our unique hash tag is to quickly inform you about major ingredients that is in any particular food item. Rest assured, while I may not have listed every ingredient, I have pointed out the main culprits of specific dietary requirements so you can make that informed decision about what goes in your mouth. If you still require any additional help please ask and I will be happy to help.

Each item of food will be accompanied with an information card.
On this card you will be able to quickly identify just what is and what is not in that particular item.

The icons on this card tell you that the chocolate torte is gluten, dairy, egg, and sugar free, is raw, and fits with the paleo dietary requirements. The hash tags tell you that it contains maple syrup, cocoa and espresso powder and vanilla extract. We will be employing basic common sense - we’re not going to go overboard and tell you that the chocolate cake doesn’t contain meat.

GLUTEN: Gluten is the general name for proteins most commonly found in wheat, barley and rye. Gluten can be found in many foods, even where you would least expect it, here at Cafe Inc we take that risk away by having a strictly gluten free kitchen, except for a few loaves of bread that have been made not on premise and keep in air tight containers (even has own toaster). This is the icon you need to look for if you’re after a gluten free bite.

DAIRY: Dairy is any product containing or derived from milk. While we all may love cheese, milk and yoghurt for some of us that extra dollop of cream on your cake or golden melted cheese on top of your lunch is just not worth the hell that it ensues with. There are also a vast number of people who simply choose not to indulge for their own personal reasons. At Cafe Inc we have worked hard to create a menu that still allows the indulgence and flavor of all those good things without the regretful after effects. Look for this icon to ensure you’re making the right dairy free choice for you.

NUTS: Nuts are defined as dry, single-seeded fruits with a high oil content, enclosed in a tough outer layer. Nuts and seeds are extremely nutrient-dense. They provide generous amounts of calories, fats, complex carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, minerals and fiber. All these good things aside, unfortunately many of us are allergic to nuts and suffer severe reactions if consumed. We do use nuts in many of our recipes at Cafe Inc. however, we make a very concise effort to prepare our nut free items with completely separate utensils. You can rest assured there’s little or no risk to your nut free choice. Please look for this icon to distinguish the nut free options on display.

SUGAR: We all know the basics of sugar, the cravings, the big highs followed by even bigger crashes. But the reality is sugar has been dubbed the “white poison”. So we have made a huge effort to supply you with the tastiest treats and you won’t even know they don’t contain sugar! We use alternative more natural kinds of sweetener, pretty much anything BUT refined sugar. Simply find this icon on our tasty treats and know that you can indulge completely guilt free.

EGGS: Ok, so we all know where eggs come from, right? So who came first: the chicken or the egg? They are a good source of protein, but, unfortunately for some, they are just one of those things they simply cannot eat. Whether it be dietary reasons or personal choice it is yet another food item that we are clearly labeling to remove the guess work for you. See our handy egg label to establish our egg free items.

VEGETARIAN: Some people love meat and find it a great source of protein and iron, others choose not to eat meat at all for their own personal reasons and choices. At Cafe Inc we don’t discriminate and you’ll find plenty of options what ever your choice may be. Look for this icon to make a clear choice.

SEAFOOD

Seafood includes all fish, shellfish and roe. We will always have clearly stated the items that do contain seafood, just look for our seafood label to know which choice is for you.

PALEO: Commonly referred to as the ‘caveman’ diet. A paleo diet is made up of nutrient dense foods that all began with dirt, rain and sunshine. People on this diet eat animal based proteins, vegetables, fruits and natural fat sources. Look for our paleo symbol in the cabinet to identify these options.

RAW: Its as simple as it sounds. Food that is uncooked, fresh and in its natural state, adapted into our delicious recipes. During the cooking process food begins to lose nutrients. By eating a raw diet you can ensure the natural goodness remains in your food and you can get all the health benefits nature intended. Spot this icon in our cabinet to find these foods.
